Tommy West can't beat UAB, but he owns Houston. I wish we were in the West.

No I would say DeAngelo Williams owns Houston. You guys are 3-0 against us in games that he has played. I think he was injured when we beat you guys his freshman year.
Out of respect to the Tulane fans, I am moving this thread to the smack board.

Georgia has a ton of D1a recruits & only two D1a programs in Georgia & Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech has pretty high entrance requirements which would be in Georgia Southern's favor. Georgia Southern would also be a bridge between UCF & ECU. UAB & SoMiss would be relatively close as well. UConn has proven to be a good football addition to the Big East. I say take a chance on Georgia Southern.
I have reliable information that CUSA will not add any replacements, if it ever became necessary, unless the league number drops below nine. If they ever considered another team I would agree with looking at someone like Ga Southern or Middle Tenn, for example. These are solid teams and frankly never had a chance to compete at a higher level, fan support would probably improve dramatically, good population base. Give teams like that a chance. Teams like La Tech and UNT have become stale. La Tech did well at Div 1-AA (football) but is only breaking even now at 1-A. Joining the WAC did them no good at all. They played teams like Rice, Tulsa, SMU, and UTEP but fan support was pitiful, did not improve at all over their days as independent. They have no source for support other than state taxpayers and that amount will most likely decrease due to state financial situation. UNT has improved facility wise, good future plans, has done well in Sunbelt but again I think they have peaked well below what CUSA would need.
we know you hate tech, ive read that same post from you 527 times. get over it. tech would have a top 6 football and mens basketball team every year and would be top 3 in both sports its fair share of times. the facilities and support isnt near as bad as you make it. the only reason tech is not in is because it is in a small town and it is too close to memphis, tulane, and usm for recruiting.
You Tecchies do not have to come over to this board, you do it voluntarily, but if you continue you might see me post the same information 528 times. It is a FACT that you have poor fan support (check the photos on your site and check the audited figures of your annual gate receipts), it is a fact that Tech gets about 50% of its cash budget from state taxpayer suppliments, that Ruston has no TV station, no newspaper, no motel space to support visitors, no restaurants to support visitors, has a movie under construction but without one for years (recreation for visiting teams), and I could add more. You say reason TEch isnt in is because of small town & too close to Memphis, Tulane, and USM. Use whatever excuse you like, its your right, but MY reasons above is what counts.

Dude,Louisiana Tech has a base of 17k because lord knows it doesnt come from opposing fans so i would think those figures would be envied right now by about half of your conf.
