uh i distinctly remember reading on the usm board, after tulsa handed the eagles their a$$, alot of excuses mainly concerning almond and how lucky tulsa got converting on 3rd down.

i don't think i read one post about how tulsa's defense caused almond to play like my kid sister or that maybe tulsa converted all those 3rd downs BECAUSE THEY LEAD THE CONFERENCE IN 3RD DOWN CONVERSIONS AND HAVE DONE THAT ALL YEAR.

having said that it is probably just natural to minimize the opponents accomplishments. its easier that way than admitting that the team that beat you just might be better...
