Tigers have won 4 of 5 even during what has been a weak time for Tiger basketball. Kinda odd that during Cals time we only went 3-3 against them. While Pastner won 3 straight to help close the gap. Just goes to show that over time things will level out for the better program. A five game losing streak against them in the late 90’s really derailed the series. If we just keep playing we’ll take over the series lead. But with a 3 game deficit and only playing once a year, it could take 5 or 6 years, as they will no doubt win 1 or 2 even by accident.

Just as I wasn't ready to throw in the towel on the season after the Murray State loss, I am not convinced that everything is fixed after whipping 'Bama (although it did help quite a bit). It's easy for Penny and the team to say the team is united, on the same page, etc. after a big dub. The proof will be how we play tomorrow and also how we handle the next stretch of adversity. If we play very well and beat the Vols, it could very well mean that the season is turning around. Even if we play well and lose a hard-fought game, that's OK. If we get whipped, then it could open up the wounds again. If we lose a couple of games in late January against weaker conference opponents, how will we respond? That will be the true test.

Before Bama, thought we would beat the Tide fairly easy. Mainly because of psychology. A group of talented players who wanted to win were going to fight their @ss off. Tennessee will be a much tougher game simply because of psychology. They are determined not not let us do what we did to Bama. It's natural that we would have less determination after a big win. Let's hope that our kids can bring it again. I think its going to be an amazing, maybe even iconic game.

I hope the team brings the effort they had last game to every time they hit the floor. They cannot afford to take any opponent lightly, no matter the name on their jersey.

The team overlooked Iowa State and it cost them

Was worried at that time that that loss would cost the, more games, and as it turns out, it did. They let that bother them for several more games. All three losses were basically one possession. They couldn’t get out of the funk

TN is good so this would be another nice win and would likely keep the team winning until at Wichita State where things will again get more competitive. One game at a time. If our kids play well they win tomorrow, even if utk also plays well

I’m curious about the game attendance and more importantly what percentage will be Tiger fans. Hopefully we have a nice contingent of fans show up and support the team.
