MWC to PAC
Hawaii, UNLV, New Mexico, Boise St to PAC.
This was mostly based on geography and grabbing markets with long term potential.

MWC to Big 12
SDSU, Col ST, Memphis, USF to Big 12

Big Ten to ACC
MD, Rutgers to ACC

To put the insult of the West in perspective, the the same as saying pick 4 schools in the SBC for the SEC or pick 4 schools in the MAC for the B1G.

With the exception of a couple of schools, I can see that. It's like trying to put CAA teams in the Ivy League. Very few would be chosen.

1) San Diego St to PAC12
2) Tulane, USF, Temple, UTSA and Colorado St to Big12
3) no room
4) North Dakota St to MWC
5) AAC and Sun Belt merger

Unless the XII is able to retain power status, the PAC is going to be the only hope for Kansas St. Except for, perhaps, a picked over ACC merged with the best of the XII.

I think if the Big12 loses Texas Tech and Oklahoma St then it would be hard to consider them a Power5. I don’t quite see any reason the ACC would want to merge.
