In fact, in the only display of backbone from Boobkowsky he essentially forced UCF to make a decision to join C-USA or else the conference would have selected LaTech or gone a different direction.

So laugh if it makes you feel better, but we all know that you would rather be hosting BE teams at the Citrus Bowl than the leftbehinds from C-DOA.

Have a nice day.
I'd rather be in the C-USA. I don't want to lose games b/c of old man winter. Have fun playing Rutgers, Uconn, WVU, and others in the Nov. We will be nice and warm playing southern teams.

Just so you know, that conference ths is supposedly an "after thought" just had two Top 25 teams playing on national television during the week and were showcased and will have a Top 15 team another near Top 20 club and a couple of Top 25 BCS teams and a Sagarin Rating that will put them 5th or 6th. Just so you know! :D

They are holding on to their BCS bid for dear life. They have only 8 teams that are either a fraction of their former selves (Pitt, Cuse, WVA), nobody cares about at all (USF, Cinn, UConn) or are one lost coach away from slipping back into obscurity (Rutgers, Louisville). With such a small conference, no championship game and a bunch of weak teams on a national level, the Big East doesn't deserve to be anywhere near that BCS bid.
This isn't just coming from the CUSA fans, but fans and followers of ALL of college football. The Big East is a joke.

I'm perfectly comfortable with our status in CUSA as a mid-major. Are Big East schools comfortable with their conference being the joke of college football?
WRONG!

Connecticut consistently sells out and won a nice bowl game last year by a wide margin.

It's too bad...UCF would be a pretty decent addition.

So would USM.

So Louisville is within losing a coach of becoming a bad football team. Hate to break it to you but we heard the same when Howard Schnellenberger left, we heard the same when John L. Smith left as well.

Fact is we are going to our 8th straight bowl game and we have a boatload of young talent on our roster-(72 returning players in 2006). We will be good for a while longer.

BTW the last I check WVU was a solid Top 15 team this year.

Update on the "After thought" conference. West Virginia is #14 in the rankings, ready to move up to #13 maybe #12 and should finish the season in the Top 10. All the Big East needs is a team to finish #14 in the rankings and the Big East will average a Top 12 finish the last 2 years. Louisville is #25 in the BCS and teams ahead of them have lost so they should bolt to around the Top 20 of the BCS. If they keep winning they should finish the season around #14 to #18 in the final BCS rankings. And that would be as the SECOND place team in the Big East. West Virginia could finish the season around #8 and #10. Yeah, the conference SURE is dead! Louisville might lose Petrino? Considering their recruiting, facilities, market and conference affiliation I'm sure they'll have a hard time finding a top notch coach to replace Petrino.
