I was there too. Coach Izzo is still riding the coat tails of the Referees. We hung with them for awhile. Would've, should've, could've right?
7'0" (5) stars vs. 6'7" (3) stars. The Breslin Center is a wonderful venue and a tough place to win especially with their crowd and "Izzone" students. I had a good time other than the final outcome.

My son and I went as well. We have a great team. Our front court and small forwards can play with most anyone. We are lacking, of course, a quality big man. If we could somehow snatch an athletic 6-10 guy we could be really good. MSU didn’t exploit this, and I think our coach did a good job to take this away with the help defense. MSU simply made a high percentage of 3s. They made 12 to our 4. That was the difference. Should the number of threes made have been closer (more in line with our average) it would have been a one possession game at the end. I really like our team! I like their attitude and confidence. Scrappy guys with good hops!!! Go Rockets!!!

At-large hopes are not gone yet. I mean i wouldnt hope for it, but 3 loss Belmont was the last team left out in the worst mbb conference basically in 2020-2021. Its Murray State and them... then sub 200 teams. If anyone goes 28-3 theyre in. I bet at 27-4 we are in. We probably can afford one more loss to a decent team paired with the MAC having 5 or 6 top 150 squads.
