Give Wes time. This is not the year. This team still has no idea and no one with enough skill to overcome the lack of cohesion. Woof. That Illinois win was nice though. Losing to Miami and X would be rough.

That’s because our bigs have no offensive skills. We can’t go down low for a high percentage shot.

I agree. I see effort but no concept of what a good shot is. Some of these are better than what we are seeing.

The halftime interview with Wes was great. Sideline guy has a mask on and Wes could hear a word he was saying. Wes looked like he wanted to choke him.

Miami is a horiffic defensive team. We aren’t even trying to use our size and settling for bad 3s. MAW is a good FT shooter and very good at not turning it over. His FG% will be in the 20s soon and he can’t finish at the rim to save his life. This roster needs a big upgrade at guard.

Ado stepped up and started to dominate the glass over the last 6ish minutes. Before that we were down in rebounding. If you're going to play hero ball and throw up bad threes, you at least need guys to bang inside and fight for every offensive rebound. Right now we've only got threeish guys who do that: Ado (about 25% of the time), Ody (sometimes) and Newman.

The times we've tried to use our size it's resulted in missed layups or TO's. Our bigs (minus Ody sometimes and Lakhin) aren't capable of making contested shots on the interior. Koval doesn't have any interested in banging on the interior, he just wants to jack up threes.

I loathe these ESPN+ broadcasts. Low rent. Feels like a high school production.

You have got to start playing inside out. Take 3’s off passes out of the paint!
