I didn't bother including the scheduled games at Florida (Sept. 9) and at home against South Florida (Sept. 16) as poll choices. I doubt any sane person would suggest that UCF drop either of these schools from the 2006 schedule!

Just to be clear, the three poll choices are all home games for UCF.

Thanks to Essency's web site for the schedule information. <a href='http://home.cfl.rr.com/essency/ucfsport/helmets/2006.html' target='_blank'>2006 UCF schedule at Essency's web site</a>

I picked Louisiana Tech because they are the one UCF is dropping. La tech wanted to postpone our game to another year so we got Villanova to replace them. Villanova gives us a home warmup game before the Florida game next year which is a plus.

I picked Villanova because a Division 1-AA school would hurt our SOS and will be a less draw to area fans. 03-puke

The Sentinel was anticipating LTU's move to 2007 or 2008, but I haven't heard/read anything official yet. Till then, they'll stay on my 2006 schedule (with a little footnote).

Tennessee will also stay on my 2007 schedule till something a little more concrete comes from that. Their official site still has us scheduled.

Anyone know how many games we're going to play in 2006? 11 or 12?

Hopefully, our team won't look at the Villanova game the way you're looking at it. A poor performance or a loss against a 1-AA team would be rather deflating.
