Brendon Clark
Former Notre Dame QB Brendon Clark has decided to transfer to ODU. He is a 6-2', 212-pound Midlothian native.
He appeared in 3 games for the Fighting Irish after choosing Notre Dame over Wake Forest.
He passed for 85 touchdowns and 7,000+ yards at Manchester and led the team to a 15-0 record and a state title in 2018. Brendon Clark also rushed for 34 touchdowns and 2,000+ yards, which was a dual-threat indicator that undoubtedly appealed to ODU's coaches.

New transfer rules allow you to be eligible immediately for one transfer if you leave your old school in good academic standing. He can play next year.

Welcome to the board, Greg. Getting this commitment is huge for our program and provides instant depth at a much needed position. And while Wolff will need to be outplayed to lose the job, I like Clark's chances at winning the job.

I’m a fan of both heading into 2022, i like the competition and have confidence both can lead us to some wins!! It’s great to have these players eligible for several more years.

It’s been a great month for ODU football!

It's always good to have a 2nd string QB who can play. You never know...

Well I can imagine Clark with those accolades, didn't leave ND to sit on the bench.

Wonder if he can enroll for winter semester, so can play spring ball. I'm thinking so.

In reading up in him, looks like he has had some knee issues and has had knee surgery.

This is true.

However, I look at it this way. If he can still move anywhere close to his pre-injury form, I think we'll be okay. Unlike Mack this kid can throw the ball.

Had surgery in high school and that surgery had to be repaired. He will be good to go.

Looking for some insight here. If his knee is no longer an issue, what is the cause for him to fall from second to fourth in the depth chart?

RE: Brendon Clark
He was projected to be the starter but had to have another knee surgery to repair. That was last year, he's fine. His injury caused them to go after the Wisky QB

According to what I have found out about him, his knee is not expected to be an issue.

He fell on the depth chart because he did have a knee issue that required another surgery. ND went out and got a transfer QB from Wisconsin along with the usual HS recruits which pushed him down on the list. Had the knee not been an issue he was projected to be the starter or at the very least leading the competition for the position.
