+1, though a couple handfuls of other markets are similar.

Yes, because Chicago fans are very happy with mediocrity.

Perhaps reading the actual comment you're replying to would do wonders.

Perhaps it makes your snide comment pointless.

It’s not a snide comment. As Prince Crossing stated, Philadelphia sports fans have a reputation for being notoriously tough to please. Most Philadelphia sports fans, themselves, are self-aware enough to agree with that statement. It’s also true of other markets, which I noted - perhaps, you’ll start acting like a guest to another team’s board and quit picking fights over nothingburgers.

It's not a nothingburger. It was a pointless comment. Carey sucked here. There was nothing he did here that necessitated making that comment in the context of his coaching tenure here.

RE: HotRod is gone!
Let's just agree to disagree. Carey and staff did some good things here. The Sutton Smith defense was something to behold. Will always cherish those memories. Had Carey and staff handled and developed the QB situations better we would have definitely enjoyed a lot more success. Maddie obviously should've been transitioned to start after Hare. That was pretty awful. My personal opinion, Santa was awfully mishandled. That San Diego State game was the prime example. The dude was balling but made some crucial mistakes, but our ground game was absolutely churning, running them over. Then we decide to throw into double coverage? Even if we make the play we leave plenty of time for SD State to mount a last drive. It was as dumb as the fake punt on 4th-and-17 from our own end zone, hoping for a pass interference. It was just AWFUL. Then we had the Childers debate. I think he was the prime example of how Carey and staff didn't know how to develop a QB, along with Santa. Childers had all the physical tools and he showed it in the second half of the FSU game and the second half of the Buffalo game in the MAC championship. He was awesome. But the staff failed to bring that out of him consistently. Then of course we had all the drama about mistreatment of some players that were aired out here as well. It was a tumultuous tenure for sure. I'm just glad things are a lot more stable, positive, an happy right now.

Hulkamania BROTHER! NIU football is an AMAZING place right now. We are competing for a MAC with a team as young as ours. On top of that, Hammock continues to bring in interesting prospects. Who knows where we will end up.

Carey brought us a championship, bowl attendances and even some BIG victories. Either way, those are the past and live on in Renard Cheren's Hard Way videos on YouTube. Let Carey be a memory for us and a potential problem or benefit for someone else.

I guess you missed the Temple part next to my name.
