imo. there is a pathway THIS year for ecu to be VERY good... eccu's offense was fantastic, defense and rebounding were not very good for ecu, but there's no reason why ecu cant be great at either this season... ecu is 6'11 at the 5, 6'9 at the 4... and at all times has atleast 2 6'5/6'6/6'7 guards on the floor, often times everyoneo nthe court is 6'5 or taller, the sole player they have under 6'5 in rotation is their best defensive player

This team might be really good. Anything less than your A game and you're going to get beat.

I watched some of ECU/Oklahoma. ECU looks to be much improved.

This UC team can really defend and had offensive potential

Complete turnaround. I didn't think you were bad last year though.

Oof Oregon St. trailing Samford by 8 with a minute to go in the first half. Would lessen the shine of Tulsa's win.

UNT finished sloppy but it was primarily deep bench players in the 2nd half.

Frink would be to slow. Brandon Johnson could easily replace Jackson though.

btw keep in mind arguably our best possible player Wynston Tabbs has yet to play.

ECU went toe to toe with an objectively good team by all standards while making a plethora of fixable mistakes. Need to take care of business tomorrow.

1) They need to hire a FB coach who can get things back on track.

2) It seems that the MBB tam was way too cocky and overconfident coming in to the Clemson game, and they were taught how far they are from being a NCAA level program.

As I said on another board, I guarantee ODU comes out motivated tomorrow, ECU played with a lot of emotion today and came up just short. Who knows what we have left in the tank for tomorrow. I'm not sleeping on ODU.

They’re a much better looking team. The spread was 13 at tip off. They lost by only five, and that’s while still missing one their best players from the lineup. Excited about this year going forward.

Lose to ODU and you can write off almost all of the good out of tonight’s performance. This is a must win game if you want a resume that doesn’t stink going into conference play.

ECU and Memphis should win. USF and Wichita are significant underdogs. Temple and Boise seems like a tossups.

Anything better than 3-2 today would be a great day.

Clemson has moved up 15-20 points in many of the rankings (kenpom, torvik, warren nolan NET) to the mid-40's. They're #5 in FG3%, #20 in true shooting %, and they've held their opponents to just 59.8 ppg.

Thus, both of Temple's losses would both be considered Q1 games at this point, and that would take some of the sting out of the loss to Clemson.

Gardner is a terrific player, but perhaps he crowded out the overall team's development.
