Describes the entire athletic department. We will be submitting our conference departure papers in the morning. Aresco waiving the exit fee. Wants to rid the room of the stink in a hurry.
1) They need to hire a FB coach who can get things back on track.
2) It seems that the MBB tam was way too cocky and overconfident coming in to the Clemson game, and they were taught how far they are from being a NCAA level program.
3) They'd better play well a lot better vs. Boise State. If they don't, and come home with a 2-3 record, the critics will have a field day.
4) Losing by 27 to Clemson does not bode well for the team's prospects in conference play. It had better be an anomaly, and their play vs. USC had better be the real thing. Otherwise, this could be a long and disappointing season.
-Optimists thought the Owls could win 11-12 conference games and ~20-22 overall. The collapse vs. Clemson is a flashing warning sign, and suggests that they might finish below .500 in conference and overall.
5) This is a pivotal season for the BB program. If Coach McKie doesn't take them above .500 this season, his best players may transfer out. It's going to be "put up or shut up time" pretty soon. McKie's defenders need some ammunition to keep arguing his case, but efforts like this cause the sharks to circle.
