Lester baffles me. I just don't get it.

Classic WMU...trying a 50 yard FG with a kicker whose long this year is 30 yards and it gets blocked.

I think Eleby can throw it to the end zone from their 33 yard line...

We have over 2x their yards when they started with the ball -- and averaging 7.9 yds/carry.

Yet, we got a ballgame guys! Can the honorable Tim Lester get us to bowl-eligible? Maybe, maybe not!

I remember the good old day in September when our offense was semi lethal. It’s putrid now. Opponents have figured us out and Lester hasn’t adapted very well. We’re trying to be something we’re not.

Just so we can play a meaningless bowl game and get KILLED.

The only reason we will be invited to a bowl at 6-6 is that win over Pitt.

If we were 6-6 because of a MAC win instead, no way this team would get invited.

Our O is just fine this game -- although bad mistakes, usually made up for. Akron had the ball first and we scored 24pts that half. We didn't punt. We were semi-lethal, having to kick that FG after failing from the 2 yard line 3x in a row -- so lethal would be 28.

It's our special teams that's putrid. Over half D1AA/FCS teams have it better -- and that's not exaggerating.

Actually, that HURTS us. We get in over those compared to others in our Conference who are 6-6.

Akron has a good QB. Having a good kick return would be what it should have been but no TD out of it at all, and it wouldn't be crazy for him to get a TD out of that drive -- but let's say 3 they get at least. We should have gotten a TD, tho also. So I'd say it "should" be 28-10 at best, but possibly 28-14. Which isn't bad against their better QB + 1st possession in the 1st half.

Also, some new MAC football commercial I've never seen showing clips of famous coaches & ex players from the conference.
