It's showing 2 American teams now, so presumably they fixed it. It might have had 3 leftover from an earlier version of the bracket where he had Wichita in.

Bethune Cookman went to a 2-3 and it immediately caused severe problems. 29-29 at the half. There are a few AAC teams that LOVE the 2-3 and 2-3 matchup zone.

tie game at halftime in the USF game.. bethune cookman is horrendous so that is not a great sign (bottom 5 d1 team according to kenpom)...

i thnk usf will ultimately win, and think the close score has to do with USF being a team trying to mesh 9 new players, and everyone trying not be selfish... a lot of turnvoers from trying to make "smart plays" on pass...
every time chaplin or murphy has got "greedy" and just drove they scored with ease....i think at some point, one of them or a big is going to be "i care mroe about winning" than being a good sport and take over

overall...usf is drastically different than last year... last year they have great defensive bodies but not shooter... this year they probably have 3/4 shooters better than the best shooter on lsst years team (justin brown).. but last years team likely had 4 defensive players better than any on this years team (javon green likely the best on this years roster)

a loss here would ne horrendous for usf and the aac tho

Much better second half. It really did feel like the lapses were still there though, defensively. Multiple backdoor cuts with no defense.

This is the week when you work this out, though - not during league play.

USF wins 75-54. Playing many players trying to find starting group. Struggled with 2-3 zone. We will see going forward as the team mesh what it can do.

Spread was -20.5 so the Bulls covered.

jacksonville state is a top 140 kenpom team... they return everyone from last year, starting 4 redshirt/super seniors... they are playing a likely 22+ win team

also on a matchup basis jacksonville state strength is post play, which is a bad matchup for Wichita who is small in the post (6'8 center)..where Jacksonville state drastically outsized them
