OT: Liberty vs. Ole Miss
Since it's now official that LU joins the CUSA, as a LU fan I'm now on board and root for CUSA schools.

And LU has a huge game today at 12 noon eastern vs. Ole Miss on the SEC network. Latest line is Ole Miss by 9.5 points. Ole Miss has lots of injuries that may make the game closer. If LU is able to win, it would be the best for CUSA and conference stability. A demeaning loss would have the opposite effect.

And lastly, if you have only heard about LU QB Willis, take the time to watch this kid play. He is a true Heisman candidate. His play today carries tremendous weight for his future, LU's success and CUSA credibility.

RE: Liberty vs. Ole Miss
I wish Willis had a better supporting cast. Liberty's D may have gotten better, but the offensive line has played horribly this year. Liberty can't run the ball besides Willis. On offense, he's got good slot WR but they have a lack of outside WR', no dependable TE, and really not a dependable or above average RB either. Liberty has recruited some bigger WR for next year but this year is is a big issue...we had a couple transfers fall through.

Go Liberty ..... Flames, right? That would be a big win for the conference.

This game likely comes down to if Freeze, with his creative coaching, is able to neutralize a 6-2 SEC team with better athletes. If LU is to keep it close and snatch a victory in the closing seconds it would be monumental for the LU program. I'm betting Freeze's desire to win is greater than Kiffin's due to Freeze's departure. Expect the unexpected from LU.

This is what Liberty brings to the table. A winnable game (for them) against a major conference opponent (#15). We could really use you guys coming through for us here.

My thing against Willis has always been the FIU game last year. I wasn’t impressed. He put up numbers but didn’t shred us and our defense is/was absolutely horrible. He’s fast and athletic though. Struggles a bit with accuracy on intermediate/deep balls. I’m assuming he’s gotten better since then. Looks like he might be QB1 in this draft.

RE: Liberty vs. Ole Miss
I’m not kidding, Malik will have about 1.5 seconds to get rid of the ball. The OL has been terrible and the Ole Miss dl will be chasing Malik all day. Look for quick, short passes in the flats. I believe Freeze is the better coach and will have a great game plan to keep it close, but I think Ole Miss pulls away and wins by 2 td’s.

One other thing, don’t forget that Liberty still has kids on the roster that was recruited when we were still FCS. A couple more recruiting classes and we’ll look very different.

His upside is much higher than his current level. Best is he seems to be a good person who wants to get better and is receptive to coaching. His FIU game was the exception rather than the rule. He'll have more NFL scouts and eyes on him on this game any to date. Let's see how he reacts. He, more than any other player is the one most responsible for LU's success the past two years.

Not the best start. Kiffin has Ole Miss' offense playing well...

RE: Liberty vs. Ole Miss
Early on Liberty appears to be in true CUSA form when playing an SEC team.
Ole Miss 17
Liberty 0

Its gonna be a long day if they cant find a way to protect Willis because the Rebels are gonna continue to score.

Typical SEC game homer refs Liberty doesn't stand a chance.
