Truly amazing this keeps happening. I do not understand why Southern (the actual GS people in your building) keeps providing bulletin materials.

Unless the culture within GS athletics is indeed this arrogant. Then GS is basically Georgia's version of La Tech. No better than how La Tech speaks of Louisiana.

I remain very nervous about this game.

If you have to stir the pot like this, then it's a rivalry.

Honestly think it's more for GS players trying to hype themselves up for the game. They can't Honestly have that much confidence the way the season has gone.

The whole rivalry thing with GSU has been a weird evolution. The former GS ADs bad idea for a points based competition between the schools really turned fans off. It feels more manufactured than a natural rivalry. Like week have force it.
Not saying it isn't, but just not the same as it is with Appy.

I think people under 50 maybe equate rivalry to football and since 2010. The schools have played each other in all other sports for decades and draw enrollment and athletic recruiting from the same pool of high school kids and our alumni overlap greatly in Atlanta. There have been heated games in multiple sports for decades. For anyone to deny it it because "oh football and little history there" is silly. Would be like is to deny that Mercer is a rivalry because oh we have never played them in foorball.

Having said that, just what I have read this week coming from inside GA Southern Athletics has been pop some popcorn inducing. Great stuff.

I'll believe it's not a rivalry when we talk about Troy or USA the same way.

Ben Moore tried to coin "Modern Day Hate" but I think the annual "Not A Rivalry" game has a nice ring to it.

Never bought into the "Modern Day Hate" thing but this "Not A Rivalry" game is pretty amusing.

Well I can't see where this really matters. Georgia State always seems to get up more for us than we do for them. The first game in Atlanta GS was pumped up to play GSU but after that game we always look flat to me. Perhaps the players are just trying to hype themselves up a little because hell they need to do something.

Think Georgia State wins by 10. They are better than their record indicates.

I hate this game will have to compete with Ga/Fl and the Braves games. I heard Frat Beach at SSI is not happening this weekend so maybe some students will be around in between the mutts and Braves game.
