Is anyone else just really stoked for hoops this year? From Memphis at the likely top with Houston right there all the way down to Tulane and even maybe ECU this league is deep.

I love Dawkins group and UCF has a chance for noise.

UC is picked what 6th and who seriously thinks that they won’t find a way to win. But at the expense of who!?

Fun times. Hope all our teams make a lot of noise in non con

i noted this in the top 50 aac players thread that i make yearly

ive made one every year for the last 5 seasons.. before this year every single 4star top 100 recruit has made the list, and normally includes a few recruits that arent top 100.... this year we had a few top 100 guys not make the list

every single aac coach besides Houston (For obvious reasons) has stated they think they will be drastically better than last year
even ecu/dooley (who lost gardner), usf (who had 7 transfer out) and haith/tulsa ...who on paper should have "worse rosters...

Sorry I must’ve missed it. But that speaks volumes on how much depth each team has.

I don’t remember a time where I was struggling to find “easy” wins on our schedule like this year.

As long as Tulsa can avoid going winless in non conference only to upset all the top teams in conference we should be in the top 5 basketball conferences this year.

round ball has already started.. exhibition and charity games are already going on

this is also odd coming from a UCF fan.. your football season is essentially done for anything significant.. ucf basketball is projected to potentially have its best team ever ... in which auburn, fsu, miami and Oklahoma games will decide if that is actually true.. all of those games are before January

2011 was a pretty good year for the Conference:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_East_C...ualifying.

In 2011, the Big East set the record for the most teams sent to the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship by a single conference with eleven out of their sixteen teams qualifying.

I mean Dooley is going into year 4 and just finished DFL. If he doesn't state he thinks the team will be better then he's pathetic. I'll believe it's better when I see it, but it better be a lot better or his arse will be getting fired.

I mean I kinda think they’ll beat tcu regularly. Probably k state too.

Iowa st usually pretty good but UCF can compete. Baylor is on a run but will see how they reload. Texas tech lost their coach and before beard they weren’t anything crazy. Okie state usually good not great. It’ll be competitive. For all 4 new adds it’s just adding good solid depth.

Depends what kind of jump Cincinnati makes. Be nice if temple and Tulsa were to 100 teams as well.

Zero excuse for Houston, Memphis, SMU, and Wichita to not be tourney teams.

For the record, I have no clue what this Tulsa team is going to be. Lots of transfers. Supposedly better shooters (we've heard that before). I just hope we don't have a classic Haith slow start to the season, but with all the transfers that seems hard to accomplish.

Do not be optimistic about ECU basketball. I have no particular information but that is a healthy truism with our program.

2018-19 was the AAC's best MBB season:

4 NCAA teams: (33-4) UH, (28-7) UC, (24-9) UCF, (23-10) Temple
2 NIT teams: (22-14) Memphis & (22-15) WSU
1 CBI team ( (24-14) USF won the CBI tournament championship)

2019 was the AAC's best FB season.

Four teams in the final AP football top 25; 5 with 10+ FB wins:

#17 12-2 Memphis
#20 11-2 Navy
#21 11-3 Cincinnati
#24 10-3 UCF
.......10-3 SMU
