Attendance 2021
We had 19,900 yesterday and thats been relatively consistent all season despite the losses. We havent had bad weather yet and hopefully that trend continues.

The black out was successful. Most fans seemed to participate. The student section was only half full again. This time Michigan game at noon, and OSU at 730 so start time not to blame. Is there a way to shut down Rocket Hall 15 mins before game time until half?

I hope we can bring a loud bunch to the Glass Bowl next Tuesday. We will need it. EMU has some local players and will travel nicely.

I saw BGs pathetic faithful this week in some highlights... We should bring more than them in 3 weeks if we win.

RE: Attendance 2021
What we need to do is just let college kids be college kids and drink in the Greek Village or Lot 9. Also, I hate walking through Lot 10 an hour before the game and seeing tons of open parking spots. I understand Nottke has to make a quota and charge $500 to park in there but charge the $500 for a reserved spot around the outside or closer to Larimer. That lot should be filled all the time.

I bet they sold enough to fill it if everyone came... plus you want to stick every grill, tent, car and boombox directly next to eachother? People want space and have traditions parking where they do. Its on the fans to show up to that lot, not on where they individually do.

I thought 19,900 was a pretty good crowd, unfortunately a Tuesday night game followed by Saturday on Thanksgiving weekend, attendance at both will be dismal, especially if weather turns bad, after 4 home games compared to 2019 GB average game attendance is down about 1,500 per game, will be interesting to see in future years if trends in CFB across the US (down in 2021) is a continuing trend

It doesnt feel down. Yes NIU and WMU at home in October should be better. But the teams record hurts a bit. And no BYU as a mega game to bring up averages. Honestly the difference to me is students. 1000 more and we are consistent. Also two 15000 crowds will bring us back up. In 2019 the EMU crowd had to be like 8k.

does not help that total UT student enrollment it down 14% compared to 2019. plus in 2019 BYU was actually less than Murray State game but after 4 games in 2019 team was 3-1, in 2021 they were 2-2 and after that terrible home loss to Colorado State, but guessing UT seeing same trend as across CFB with numbers in slow decline in recent years including 2021, some notable exceptions but national attendance and for majority of programs is down. And I have no idea how much student attendance drives UT games, but wonder if todays college students have as much interest in actually going to games. just a thought.

yep UT draws well in terms of MAC-been the case for a while, just interesting to look at long term trends, and I believe OSU and many other CFB programs-although still larger, are trending down this year in total attendance

A media story reported OSU was not selling out due to the price of the tickets in those nose bleed seats.

Yea I heard about that, which is interesting since UM and Penn State are still drawing close to full capacity, out pricing your market is a real factor at play at OSU
