I respect the history of hurt feelings & disrespect that has come from La Tech. However, if it works out to where they end up joining with us, I would be all about it. This is about building the strongest G5 conference for the future, not about the past. Our best rivalry and most interesting games in C-USA 3.0 have been with Tech.

We have two schools in Louisiana and that is enough. Warhawks and Cajuns helped us create SBC Football. No other school in Louisiana earned and deserves a seat at the SBC table..

They pushed hard, basically got on their knees and begged. But my god, they completely somehow left everyone in the dark up there. I don't think their administration was prepared for the entire Set of Texas schools to leave and for USM to follow.

However, Marshall is getting the spot.

Its still an option if Marshall got cold feet. Its worth noting that Georgia Southern has been pushing for more Westward Expansion out of this because they want to maintain games against Troy. Swapping out Troy for JMU is a hefty mileage blow.

Yeah GaSo and GaSt go from having Troy in close proximity to adding 2 schools in VA and 1 in WV. Puts them in a tougher spot financially with travel. Thankful ESPN is upping $$$ to help with that.
