Its a shame if that all causes the Sunbelt to pass on LaTech. The reality is they are perfect fit for what you guys are building. Consistently scrappy football teams playing in a college town with a solid loyal core following.

Yeah we fit The Sunbelt like a glove, it’s sad our administration **** on it for 30 years haha.
I don’t think it’s only that, 3 schools from one state isn’t the best from a TV deal perspective.
Wish we could reconcile because we bring a lot in the table in football, basketball, and baseball.
But I’d give my left testicle to get into The Sunbelt at this point.

I think someone will want to pick up LaTech. You guys have really good football, basketball, baseball and softball.

Um….who? Not kidding, tell us the possibilities. Looks like if someone was gonna pick em, they would’ve done so before all the picking was done.

Sadly Franky is right, I think we’ll be able to keep the MAC away though.
So have MTSU, WKU, UTEP, FIU, and us.
Add any independents we can, and then hopefully backfill with top FCS teams.
I think realignment will take another turn in 2024/2025.
Temple might want to pull a UCONN. Big12, PAC, and ACC might make a few moves.
I think that’s part of the hesitation of Marshall. Paying the exit fees to the sunbelt now would lock them out of moving in a couple years. And if you think LaTech is a “climber”. Look at Marshall’s history and ask the MAC.
