I'll echo Jaybird. No matter what happens I've grown to love our LaTech games. They're always hype.

Was Kim Mulkey the pg then?

Probably was Kim Mulkey as the PG. I say that because one of my earliest memories was when the Thomas Assembly Center opened and Tech basketball had a double header game. I can't remember who the Bulldogs played, but the Techsters played Southern California. Cheryl Miller and Kim Mulkey were both playing in that game. I remember the arena being packed and sitting in the upper seats on the stairs. My Mam-Maw and Dad were huge Lady Techsters supporters. I think I was 4 years old. My earliest sports memories are of Karl Malone and Kim Mulkey playing basketball. I was spoiled as a young lad, lol.

That was freshman year at Tech. Lawd hammercy I am OLD!!

Yep. It was my first Tech sports memory and you were a freshman in college at Tech. Old man, lol. :)
FYI to the ODU fans, Barmore is getting a statue in front of the Thomas Assembly Center this Saturday at Homecoming. They also had a documentary film released tonight at the Howard Auditorium on Leon Barmore. Of course I couldn't make that or I wouldn't be posting here tonight. If Tech releases it soon on Youtube or some other outlet, I'll be sure to post it on this board.

We go way back to women basketball days. You guys and none of us deserve this, but the abuse you guys have put up with over the years has always bothered me. I hope you guys stay in the same conference with us and wanted to let you guys know you have a fan up here in Norfolk. By the way, playing you guys in the baseball finals was off the hook. I cannot root for you in a couple of weeks when you guys come to norfolk, but as always, you will have my respect.

Thanks for your comments. The CUSA baseball series was a blast. I was beyond the left centerfield wall and your players were bouncing baseballs off the dorms out there! One of them bounced off a dorm wall and almost back onto the field! Ridiculous power.

Didn’t see a game thread but just wanted to say good gam Dawgs. Both of our teams have issues but aren’t completely hapless and are probably better than the record shows. Regardless, that was a good hard fought back and forth game.

I hope that we keep playing La Tech in any sport we can somehow. Always hard-fought, always entertaining.

Add Paul Sanderford at WKU as well. ODU, La. Tech and WKU had some awesome teams back in the day.

That makes sense. You're supporting one of your players.

No, you quoted half the chant. It was “We have football how about you? I guess that’s a good chant when it really gets under your skin. I’ll admit that one did
