Since 2018 Sun Belt recruiting has been on fire. The first Belt class to average 80.0 or higher was ArkSt in 2012. That is basically the lowest three star rating. The last two years the entire conference averaged 80.0 or higher in the 24/7 composite. We have four teams currently have four teams that have the potential to have the highest rated class nationally, where it really matters not conf rating, in the history of the Belt and or highest per recruit average. No G5 outside of the AAC last year can say they are getting better talent overall now. The AAC is losing any advantage it had losing three of its better recruiting teams no matter who they get from CUSA. Its a wrap as long as most of the Belt teams keep trending up overall. The Belt will be the highest rated G5 definitively within four years IMO if this trend continues to happen with the significant increase in talent elevation.

Arkansas State has the highest average for this class of any I can remember. Highest in the SBC as of today and Jones is focusing on HS athletes instead of overutilizing Juco and transfers like the previous coach.

Well, there' been inflation across the board in recruiting ratings.

recruiting is fun, but i've learned to never trust the rating given by the sites. I give casual interest to what other schools "offered" although theres no way to know if its a committable offer or not. What I've seen is that at the G5 level you have to trust your staff to find underappreciated talent, and recruit to your system.

Satterfield was great at that. Drink wasn't here long enough to find out, jury still out on clark and co, although a lot of the support staff is still the same.

All that being said, we have our top 2 highest rated recruits ever this year so F*** YEAH!
