Tech and UAB have been our only close rivals. How often do y’all bring your bands? How well do you travel? The atmosphere, travel, rivalries is what made the SEC. I am excited to have closer conference rivals and stability!! USM is excited!

Far as I’m aware Troy is the only SBC school that travels their band the most.

Astate never takes their band unless it’s Memphis game, bowl game or rare “big time game” (example beating middle at middle in 2011 to clinch SBC title and go daddy bowl).

On good years, Astate fans travel pretty decent (ULM is usually where we travel the best because of the close proximity) though I think Southern miss could be a road game where we get a good amount of Astate fans to travel to.

One of my sons best friends was the deep snapper at A state. The young man has a bsn from asu and a dnp from usm.
I propose getting some frat kids to steal a hwy 49 sign and turn it into a rivalry trophy. Name it the Gaston

Prior to COVID USA traveled their band quite a bit. There's no way we don't bring it to Hattiesburg. We always bring it to Troy. We've brought it to Louisiana. We usually bring it to our SEC game. But again, that was pre-Covid.

I'm just happy it doesn't say "Speed Tarp Ahead."

Troy will take their band to SBC away matchups.

Troy fans usually travel very, very well.. especially if it's a matchup within 5 hours driving distance or so.
