RE: Week 8: #6/7 JMU (5-1/3-1) @ #23/25 UD (3-3/2-2) (3 PM, NBCS Philly; Flo).
I wonder is all this realignment talk will come into play with Saturday's game.
Could JMU be distracted?
Could UD be pissed?
There's no reason we should not win this game comfortably, but it is UD.

I doubt it will have any bearing. I expect us to be ready to come out and roll UD.

Wonder whose fanbase is older: Richmond or Delaware? Or did the heavy handed, game day/ tailgating/ ticket price fiasco at UD drive away all the oldsters?

Man, their collective disappointment with the state of affairs up there in Newark is palpable. Don't blame them either. UD feels like a ship lost at sea... one that just ran aground on some muddy river delta.

Based on that info, it is another chance for The opponent’s graduating class to be winless against JMU. Even the super Seniors haven’t beaten JMU in their career. Rocco and a bunch of losers in chickenville.

Seriously thinking of making the trip. I am very nostalgic about UD - I have heard about the 'pee-wall'. We don't get there often and this certainly could be the last trip.
Early 80's - UD faithful brought tailgating to JMU football games. We woke up close to noon in Shorts Hall, tossed TP rolls at the way too loud MRDs warming up in the courtyard. Then saw Blue Hen fans having a great time in the various lots and then empty Godwin field. We organized some to follow suit, parked on the Godwin lot and enjoyed the pregame. We might have made it into the game, but more likely just the Hill.
It was inevitable, but UD definitely piqued my interest into a great tailgate scene.

I've been predicting blowouts in games I think should be blowouts that end up being way closer because of being overly conservative and being awful in the red zone, so I'm kind of to the point where I'll believe we can blow out an ok CAA team without their top QB when I see it.

Let's get the boys focused, no social media until after the game. Need this one!

LOL, have Cig confiscate phones, tablets and computers?
No way to shut down twitter buzz.
They should have plenty of motivation after the spring season.
Unfinished business!
We've got one or two more cracks at another Frisco title, lets get it done.

I believe UD is the only remaining conference opponent that JMU does not own an all time winning record against. The only reason for this is they have dodged us in the regular season of late. I think they are something like 16-14 against us.
Should be a win but rivalry games are usually closer than expected. I actually like beating Delaware more than Richmond. Just something about them makes me not like them. I hope someday they end up in the Sunbelt with us.

In the distant past when they were good, and would roll into our parking lots with large chicken flags and a big attitude I despised them also.
They always felt they were superior and that we were small time. In some ways worse than that green team. Beating them always was very satisfying.
Still want to win this game, and by a lot. But I've gone from hating them to feeling sorry for their fans and state of their program. Was always fearful if we got too content with FCS, we would slide into the same place some day. I saw UD, Montana and Youngstown St as examples of what happens to great programs that stay in FCS too long.
I'd be happy for UD if they moved up, but think MAC or CUSA is more likely than SBC for them. Would be happy to schedule them OOC if they jump.
