Happy for you that your team could get off their slide.
Thanks. Navy always makes me nervous. They have given Memphis fits through the years. Best of luck the rest of the season.

Thanks. As a Navy vet, I always pull for Navy except when they play Memphis. We needed this to try to salvage our season. Three straight losses by 6 or less.
We may have an issue with Henigan being hurt now. Hand. We'll see.
Anyway, glad this one is done. Good luck to Navy the rest of the way.

Big Memphis fan here, but if I'm a Navy fan I'm pissed. The refs took ya'll out of the game in the first. Was gonna be tough either way, but they helped stick the knife in.
My experience watching the 2018 AAC Championship game has led me to believe some refs in CFB are dirty. That night, I had no doubt they were in the tank for UCF. Tonight, it felt like the shoe was on the other foot.

Thanks.......My son was in the Navy for six years. I'm proud of what he accomplished there. He's a civilian and an engineer now, but I'll always have a special place in my heart for Navy. You guys are a machine. Good luck the rest of the season. Bad luck year. I know how it feels.

Good game Navy. The way you control the ball and eat up clock always makes me nervous. I thought we got away with one on the touchdown pass with what looked like a shove in the back that wasn't flagged. As many times as we have been screwed by the AAC officials, it felt strange to be on the other side of the coin.

Yes, that one too.
And as I highlighted earlier, I could take all those and what-if them and turn them into points...and I still come up a few points on the losing end. Navy lost that game because the offense couldn't execute consistently and because the defense gave up big plays that we hadn't in the previous three weeks. Certainly the better team on the field Thursday night came away with the W.
But yeah, Navy gonna have a LONG tape to send to the conference office.

I agree about the shove in the back on Austin's run, and the trip called a cut block. Both could have gone the other way. The thing about the helmet, I had never seen before, but the TV guys explained that if the player had not actively pursued after he lost his helmet, there would have been no penalty.
I don't subscribe to the theory that the refs are dirty, but the calls definitely went our way last night. But as you said, those didn't represent enough points to change the outcome.
I'm just glad we survived. It was an entertaining game to watch. After that first Navy drive, I thought we were toast, lol.

Coach Mac is a guru against the triple option, now if he could just figure pout how to stop the pass?

Tigers are a tough team to figure out this year. Clearly you guys are much better at home than on the road. Glad our games in Houston this year.

On the Tigers' (2nd or 3rd???) kickoff return, the final review angle CLEARLY showed daylight (or in this case, stadium light) between the receiver's knee and the ground. Yet even after the review, they called him down.
On the helmet off call, EVEN IF they had caught the hands to the face call, he still is not allowed to participate after his helmet came off. Since he did, it would have been at least "offsetting penalties - replay the down."
I notice Navy's linemen spend a lot of time on the ground in their blocking duties. I have nothing but respect for our armed forces, and respect the Naval academy in particular. But that blocking technique is dangerous to opponents' knee health, and should be called every time.
