That's big news.

This changes things quite a bit for the AAC. I'm guessing they take the previously mentioned CUSA teams now.

Based on reports this was expected. AAC was reportedly focusing on Air Force and CSU. But they could still look at UAB and others.

CSU and AF were the most recent rumored to go to AAC. This doesn't seem like news other than putting a stamp on it.

RE: Boise and SDSU Officially Say NO to AAC
To confirm the previous posts, Broncos and Aztecs were the MAIN grabs from MWC but the consensus quickly was both were going to poo poo the invite. Then the rumblings of AF and CSU came and with this now hitting the waves I'm fully expecting to see invites and acceptations from both schools to be reported within a week or so

This is good news for the Belt it means a weaker AAC and CUSA may get hit harder. The Belt is in position to challenge the AAC

I honestly think they'll stop there unless Memphis and/or SMU leave.

Thing is I think it's an almost certainty that Big 12 is going to nab Memphis (and someone else that is kind of a toss up) once they get an idea of when Texas and Oklahoma is leaving the league.

So does American wait for that to happen or be proactive?

This is interesting as this guy is alleging that while some are saying both Boise and SDSU are staying put in the MWC, that he's got other reports saying SDSU is still mulling over whether to join AF and Colorado State in the American or not

Or possibly SDSU and another MWC team. If the MWC loses 4 they will reload with 4. This is all coming to a conclusion soon and SBC actions are about to happen

Probably go after Army first. They probably say no.

I figure that Rice, UNT, and UTSA are all gone. 1 to the AAC, 2 to MWC. Really wish the MWC would throw UTEP a bone. I know they have been down, but the MWC and UTEP just seem like a good fit.

Boise State just uses the same finger each time.

Memphis and Boise State will be hard pills to swallow for Big12 presidents, especially Kansas and Iowa State. I don't see it happening. The academic profiles of Houston, Cincinatti and even UCF were far more palatable.
