Renewed my driver's license today. Had to go in person because of the new ID requirements. Texas now has these Supercenters (I went to the one in Spring area) where you don't just show up and wait in the queue, you make a reservation in advance. You can do the reservation over the Internet. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes.

However, the earliest one can get a reservation in Travis county and the Austin environs is Dec. 7. But, I am glad I will get out in 30 min --- 76 days from now. Funny thing this came up because I had to make the effort to find that out today.
