It could happen. I heard on the radio today that UGA had an official interview with him yesterday.

What does the Dawg Nation think? Is he a good choice or should Vince hire a proven coach (Tim Floyd, etc)?

I kinda liked the idea of hiring him at first, but now that i think about it i'm not so sure. I think we need a proven winner and recruiter who can rebuild the program.

I'm seriously tempted to after Matt Doherty.

Really? That would be a risk, but he was the National Coach of the Year two years ago. Hmmm.............

The fact that UNC let him go doesn't scare me at all. UNC is like Alabama football post-Bryant. Dean Smith really spoiled UNC, and it is very hard to follow in the steps of a legend. Anyone who doesn't measure up to Dean Smith will either be fired or pressured to resign. For a school that likes to look down its nose at the SEC, they sure are following the trend of a well-known SEC school. Expect something similar to this to happen at Duke when Coach K retires.

I agree. I just don't know if he'll get another shot. He deserves one.

What about Andy Landers? He has been an excellent and loyal Dawg for a long long time. He has certainly shown he can coach. Just a thought.
