Any prediction I'd make would be pure unadulterated presumption without any possible grounded insight.

So, I for one will abstain, and add that it's even possible that the next thing that happens isn't one of the options listed.

Very next is AAC. Still not sleeping on Big Ten grabbing a 6-Pac before next July.

That would be "Sir" William Moneypenny Dazzlebury III to the unwashed masses on this board, my good man.

RE: Very next realignment move among FBS conferences
I'd say that the AAC makes a move but the C-USA and Sun Belt are already looking at schools. I think if the Sun Belt only loses UALR (I don't know if UTA adds FBS football if the rumors of football are true but I'm guessing a Sun Belt spot has to be better than any FCS conference) to go back to 12. I expect they look for a eastern school.

I think C-USA is happy to go back to 12 but may need to reconfigure depending on who they lose.

Since the AAC will be below the 8 team all-sports minimum with the loss of three members to the Big 12, it seems likely that they will announce their intentions soon, and everybody else below them in the pecking order will want to wait to see who they add before responding.

The minimum, technically, is 6 teams, I believe, but that is way too small for a conference this day and age. The real minimum to function as an FBS conference is 10.

Right now, they're set to be at 8 for football and 8 for everything else.

7 all sports: Temple, ECU, USF, Memphis, Tulane, SMU, and Tulsa.
1 football only: Navy
1 everything but football: Wichita State

Domino theory. AAC is next and all the other G4 schools follow. Pecking order after the AAC is dependent on who the AAC can convince to join this conference. 03-shhhh 07-coffee3
