RE: Big 12 Targeting Pac 12 Schools In Next Round Of Expansion
Won't happen. I think the Big 12 needs to look at Colorado State and USF. If Kansas somehow gets a Big Ten to invite them you add Memphis after that or SMU.

Lol I remember the posts in this very forum years ago about how the Big 12 had a "license to hunt" and was gonna steal FSU and Clemson.

ESPN is targeting Big 12. Went to check on Big 12 scores on ESPN. Get-no games on this date.

I don't see any "reasonable argument" that a Big Ten or Pac-12 program would voluntarily move to the Big 12 — a league that has seen the past few years the losses of Colorado, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
Your thinking with your wallet in mind, but money isn’t everything. Just ask Nebraska exactly what money from the BigTen has done for them. They’ve lost their recruiting grounds basic all of Texas due to not playing there. They lost one of their old rival matchup against Oklahoma. They are no longer considered a power house amongst college football let alone their conference or even their division.
Arizona and ASU would be able to compete with and for a conference title more so than what they see out of the PAC, as well as Utah and would give them a annual rival with BYU which they could have, but realistically isn’t going to happen. Colorado left to get away from Texas and the recruiting grounds of California, but could return and compete immediately for the conference.
Yes they are in a better conference, but the money isn’t nearly what they have envisioned, and fame is way better than fortune anytime regardless of where you reside amongst the power conferences.
Like I said these teams are not going anywhere, but yes you can make an argument if you put money aside and look at the other advantages of owning a conference than riding mid to the bottom of the barrel with a fat wallet.

As someone who has a rooting interest for Nebraska this narrative is patently false. The huskers were best in the Big 8 (no Texas) and we were falling apart in the big 12, we should have won the north most years, we didnt. It simply is delusional Nebraska fans and message board posters to say the Texas line or insinuate being in the Big Ten us the issue. The issue is internal and needs to be solved. Iowa and Wisconsin are in our division and are consistantly top 20 teams. Additionally, I am not interested in playing any teams left in the Big 12 than I am playing Iowa, Wisconsin, or the 3m bluebloods in the east

In fairness, Iowa St. has as much in conference distributions as Nebraska the last 10 years. Nebraska has just recently reached full status with the Big 10.

Is USF going to sound the alarms to make themselves as attractive as possible for the Big 12 when they add additional schools?

Further Big 12 expansion is a great example of psyop in action.

Nope. The next two in from reports are Boise State and Memphis.
