Expansion News Flash.
I have it on good authority from someone “in the know” that Aresco has been considering multiple schools in the south and along the eastern seaboard. Data is being poured over, by multiple AAC figures to best ascertain next steps. My source says what seems to be almost most definitive is that the AAC is poised to invite between one and 4 teams… but definitely not more than 6 and not less than one unless teams to “remain unnamed” in the western United States decide to throw in with the AAC and form a conference spanning multiple time zones as well as different latitudes and longitudes. My source says teams with the names of owls and bulldogs could be considered as long as they can be differentiated from each other by each respective fan base. My insider says Aresco is set to make his move over the course of the next year or two if not sooner.

Rice or FAU? and LaTech?

- Academic Powerhouse / Cashcow who needs to improve performance.
OR
- Big Metro, and Enrollment with potential to grow into another UCF.
AND
- One of the most consistent FB/BB/Baseball school who needs to improve academics and budgets.

Man, I'm so glad you were very thorough. I would say it's a very safe bet your statement is correct.

“unless teams to “remain unnamed” in the western United States decide to throw in with the AAC“

This makes me think it’s not a MWC team he’s talking about.

TLDR: Insider says AAC will expand by 1-6 teams from the East and/or West

You might be on to something there... I did some quick research and it appears he's referring to Buffalo & UMass... He just confused New England with the United States.

RE: Expansion News Flash.
I was drinking and heard from my father’s, brother’s, nephew's, cousin's former roommate that once the ACC GoR expires, the SEC will take Florida St and Clemson. The Big 10 will then take Virginia and North Carolina, but give Rutgers back. The ACC will backfill with West Virginia and Cincinnati from the B12 as well as USF and Temple from the American. The ACC will naturally look to emphasize the Big Eastern nature of their conference.

Aresco is going after Georgia? I didn’t think he had it in him, he set the bar really high. Haha

By far the most accurate statement I've read on expansion.

Only two minor tweaks to cover the bases.
