Not shocking, ESPN is pushing the AAC to go after the Mountain West for members first to destabilize that league. The AAC adding 4 Conference USA schools (which is more likely to happen) is ESPN's consolation for not being able to rip apart the conference that is the biggest threat to their FBS media monopoly.

Bingo! Somebody who understands the process!

The second the SBC announced their new deal with the ESPN everyone knew they would be be in position to poach CUSA teams, and not be poached by them.

Since then there have been more than just rumors that some CUSA teams would be open to joining the SBC.

As far as the AAC taking a SBC team, I'm sure ESPN is strongly encouraging them look elsewhere or the SBC commissioner would not be as confident as he is, but if they do he seems equally confident they will have no problem replacing them.

While everyone looks at what ESPN is playing them, they forget the better national exposure ,not the money is a big reason they are now ahead of CUSA.
