They're up 43-42!
MSU transfer now NiU QB Lombardi had over 200 yards passing & was picked three times by Wyoming.
Wyoming 50- NIU 43

RE: Week 2 Games
Michigan beats Washington 31-10 but Washington also lost to FCS Montana last week.
Washington overrated or is scum better than we thought they were?
I’m eager to see how they match up against NIU next week.

I don't like UMichigan but wouldn't mind if they're good (not great) this year, like 9-3. Would make our L look a bit better.

RE: Week 2 Games
Like a lot of you, this season has me worried.
I’d feel better if we’d hung 50+ on I-State. Defense amazing, offense nothing to write home about.
Pitt will have little tape to study on our offense going into next week, and if that’s the strategy, so be it.
But, NIU should have won this weekend. Toledo should have won as well. Both teams will test Team Lester’s attempt at “FOUR” and both teams have a ton of momentum already this season.
Kent State doesn’t feel like the “gimme” game it used to be, and for some reason, the Huron Eagles have our number in recent years.
Even lower-case-c-central gave an SEC team all it could handle last week and shut out a team this week.
From what I’ve seen so far, this season will come down to luck more than execution for the Brown and Gold in my opinion.
I’ll feel better if we can steal one vs Pitt or SJSU.
Fans in the stands will make all the difference vs San Jose.
And a win vs. San Jose, Pitt or BOTH will mean all the difference this season.
Let’s see….
ONWARD!

Watched a lot of the Pitt @ Tennessee game yesterday. Tough task ahead. Pitt has some athletes.

Washington scored a total of 7 points in that loss to Montana last week. I think both WMU and Washington have helped Michigan have the annual “We back, baby!” attitude going into B1G play.

Agree. The only BIG10 team that’s impressed me this year is MSU. Only because they totally revamped the program. New staff…. Tons of transfers.. and they seem to be getting it done.

I would add Iowa as an impressive Big 10 team…was not expecting that.

Pitt is under the radar pretty good and should have a good year in the ACC. I don't expect a terribly close game next week.

The WMU defense I saw yesterday was night and day different than the one in Ann Arbor... of course the opponent wasn't michigan.... but what I saw were guys attacking the ball carriers... and MAKING TACKLES when they got in the grasp. Illinois State wasn't full of chumps.... they had some athletes out there. There were some different faces on defense too... They also seemed to be "attacking" more than they looked at UofM.
Watching Toledo just lay it all out there against ND.... I hope WMU does similar at Pitt. One thing I have noticed in the Lester saga... is that he really protects his players and his playbook when playing out of conference foes... keeps everyhing very vanilla in an effort to not give anything away...
If he plays it vanilla against Pitt.... we wont have a chance.

RE: Week 2 Games
It was another crazy week for college football. Lots of upsets.
#12 Oregon over #3 Ohio State, 35-28. This probably knocks Ohio State out of playoff contention.
#10 Iowa over #9 Iowa State, 27-17. The Cyclones look really overrated this year.
Stanford over #14 USC, 42-28. USC HC Clay Helton is fired afterward.
Arkansas over #15 Texas, 40-21. Welcome to the SEC. Texas is not back. They're never back.
BYU over #21 Utah, 26-17. The first time BYU has won the Holy War in years. I'm sure many non-alcoholic and non-caffeinated beverages were consumed in the post-game celebration in Provo.
Jacksonville State had a big hail mary win over Florida State, 20-17. That was awesome.
And how bad is Arizona? They lost to San Diego State 38-14. They lost to BYU 24-16 in week 1.
