UCLA beat LSU, but I don't know if the Pac won another FBS game? And Washington couldn't even beat their FCS opponent.

Oregon beat Fresno St and USC beat San Jose St.

That said, not a great weekend for the PAC.

We're discussing Left Coast football because?

If the PAC 12 had most of their membership within 1000 miles of the Mississippi River they would have been picked apart years before the Big12. Geography has made them the only show in town on their side of the continent and it has protected them despite being the weakest of the P5s.

What I always found interesting about the Pac-12 is how big a divide there is academically between its California based schools and the rest. Looking at just the acceptance rates for example...

Stanford - 4%
USC - 11%
UCLA - 12%
California - 15%

And then there's the rest...
Washington - 52%
Utah - 62%
Washington State - 76%
Colorado - 78%
Oregon State - 82%
Oregon - 83%
Arizona - 84%
Arizona State - 87%

I know acceptance rates involve a variety of variables, and don't fully give an accurate picture, but US News & World Report has those 4 California schools ranked in the top 24 nationally (Stanford #6, UCLA #20, Cal #22, and USC #24), while the best one outside the state is Washington at #58.

I missed where he said PAC. How about you go back to bed and try waking up on the other side? What the hell is your problem?

Montana beating Washington might be the biggest surprise of the entire weekend. I know the Grizzlies are usually a very good FCS team but no way should an FCS program waltz into Seattle and beat a ranked Power5 team. 04-jawdrop

The PAC 12 has been down recently but in all fairness, they probably get overlooked more because of geography and not their lack luster teams.
