Agree but I see Stanford, Cal, WASU, ORSU staying as PAC and adding Fresno, SDSU, BSU, UNLV and Nevada.

The PAC12 is going to sign a 6year 1.8billion deal soon. That is $30,000,000 a year per school, but only if they stat at 10. There will be no PAC10 defections and no expansion.

Do you have a source that is reporting that, or are you just speculating?

Just his thoughts. I think PAC 10 remaining together is 50-50 at best. TV deal is a huge problem, with no good fixes on the horizon.

YEP, what a difference from when I started it. 16 schools, Pac all but officially dead, been hell of a ride.

We can make this the Big 12 Expansion thread if you would like. I don't recall who pinned it, but it's not a bad thing so far as I can tell. OP can edit the title or I can, that's all that should happen

I don't think that we've heard the last of the Pac12.

They will reform with a merger of the Mt West just as soon as the lawsuits have concluded.

Last that I heard was that the Beavs and Coogers won all the rights and the money (which is still being collected for this year), and the penalties yet to be assessed to the departing schools. They also still have the rights to the Rose Bowl contract, however long that runs.

None of it really matters since none of those schools, and none of the B12 schools are going to be able to cough up the $30k / athlete per year to the student payment fund to be part of the new subdivision of the well-endowed.

With OU/Texas gone to the SEC after this season, which of the remaining teams are going to come up with that minimum entry fee?

Do you think that your schools will try to play at the semi-Pro level?

Only one comment, that minimum is not exactly budget breaking numbers for anyone already at or near P5 levels. A full roster of FBS players is $2.55M per year

Fuzzy math?

you must fund EVERY ATHLETE with a scholarship, every sport, men and women. Title IX

even that is not "back breaking", per se, but considering most athletic departments lose money, another 7-8 million is substantial... AND, that is the entry fee, the number of scholarships will be set by the conferences (or the new subdivision), along with other fiscal requirements, and that's not even counting NIL.

you didn't answer, is your team in?

It has been an amazing ride since I started this thread. B12 has done incrediable things. It was wrote off for dead when it added UCF, Cincy, Byu, and UH. with a big TV cut predicted, and now 16 schools with a Bigger TV deal, and Poised to take advantage of anything that happens in the future.
