RE: No two-deep chart vs. GT
So many freshmen on defense. 27 of 37 (73%) listed players on defense are freshman. 31 of 37 (84%) listed players on defense are underclassmen.

Under the rules from what, 5 or so years ago, some of those kids who are freshman would be classified as juniors.
Kind of blows your mind.

RE: No two-deep chart vs. GT
Hammock explained in his press conference yesterday that they intentionally didn't release a 2 deep this year only because Georgia Tech elected not to so they don't want to release one for a competitive advantage. It seems somewhat petty but I also totally understand where he's coming from... GT didn't release one so why should NIU?!
Obviously we will quickly know who is in the playing rotation after a game or two.
Go Huskies, beat GT!!!

Hammock should have released a fake one:
QB: Fletcher
RB: Brown
WR: urweiler
…….
GT has us so far on the pay no mind list they might believe it.

I appreciate Hammock's pettiness. The whole thing is just dumb though. The next step of escalation would be what, keeping rosters secret? Not having heights and weights?

The next game our players will drop onto the field at the last minute via parachute like airborne troops.

Agreed, GT and others per Hammock's comments desperate for any advantage at all.

Good for Hammock.
This will be an entirely different team and offense from last year.
GT is looking past this game, let's catch them off guard.

Agreed, good for Hammock. The last 2 years aside we are a top tier G5 program, our program hovering at G-Tech's level not infrequently. We should always go tit-for-tat with the "P5"s, screw them and the horse they road in on.

I would like to see Ethan Hampton get some time. I think he will end up being a steal. Good thing Illinois did not have football in the fall. He could end up having the best arm we have ever had.

100%. Play their game, both on and off the field.
That's why I liked when Lynch was talking some smack before the Orange Bowl. They expect the NIU's of the world to be awestruck all the time.
Ohio State had the life scared out of the last time we played them, and NIU was a 28 point underdog. We could have pulled it out, what a win that would have been.

This all sounds petty. Does not releasing a 2 deep four days before the game really give you a competitive advantage? And do you really need such a petty advantage against a team that went 0-6 last year, is still primarily made up of freshmen, and is playing on the road on your homefield?
