For all I know he had a better line and better run game last year and still didn’t get it done. I brought up Bowers just to say sometimes guys are just what they are. Whether they play at NIU, Cal or MSU.
I hope Rocky is great and the school change is what he needed to excel. Either way I’m super excited for Saturday and can’t wait to see the improvements Hammock has made this year.
After hearing the announcers at the start of the MSU/Northwestern game tonight say MSU only had 2 rushing TD's last season, I decided to look up their offensive stats. 2.7 yards per carry on the season, under 100 rushing yards per game average, and the 2 above stated rushing TDs(1 of which was by the other QB). So, that pretty much answers if he had a good line and rushing attack lol.
Excited to finally see how it all comes together! Hope it's not a let down!

That bodes well. Love to see Rocky up over 60% tomorrow and at worst only 1 int. If he can do that I think it will be a game.

I was excited for Bowers, but I have an even better feeling about Rocky. Plus I think Rocky has a better supporting cast. Go get em Rocky!!!

That really does explain a lot. You are not going to have an effective passing attack with that bad of a rushing attack. We are loaded at RB so I'm hoping to see the run set up the pass and open the passing lanes. I'm also hoping to see Rocky as a real dual-threat QB and not a pocket passer. Sort of like a CH (not a JL) dual-threat.

O-line did an awesome job, as did the D-line.
NIU won the trenches, and the game.

Really excited about the growth in Rocky's passing and overall game. He is mentally tough and has the leadership skills. Hope he and the team stay strong, healthy and smart on and off the field.
