Then we take Marshall and UTSA(Rice, some TX school to help bridge that gap to TxSt). Then CUSA splits and ODU becomes leader of the East and LaTech becomes leader of the west. There you go, that’s what’s gonna happen. 04-cheers

AAC will not take USM for several reasons:
1) Not sure Southern could afford the exit/entrance fees
2) Southern's athletic facilities are not up to par
3) Not a big market city
4) Football and basketball have not been stellar the last few years

Better choice(in their eyes) would be Ga St, ODU, Marshall, Rice, UTSA, FAU along with first choice UAB.

Dumbest thing ever. You are clueless. You dont know how much the exit fees are or how much USM can afford. Further, more important that that, being that USM is an original member, their exit fees are minimal, if they even have to pay one at all. Also, USM's facilities ARE up to par. Market? Dumbest thing ever. Their fan base is on par, if not better, than most of the AAC. USM also has better name recognition than most if not all of the AAC.

If the Sun Belt can remain in tact and the top of the AAC leaves and say Marshall and one more solid jumps to the SB good time indeed. 04-cheers
