Biden* Approves Licensing Deal For Chinese Communist Party-Linked Huawei
Quote:The Biden White House granted the Chinese Communist Party-linked firm Huawei – which was crippled by Trump-era sanctions – licenses to purchase American auto chips, according to reports.

The decision follows the Beijing-backed tech firm hiring several lobbyists, including the brother of Biden’s White House Counselor Steve Ricchetti and CNN guests who have pushed the Trump-Russia collusion hoax.

“U.S. officials have approved license applications worth hundreds of millions of dollars for China’s blacklisted telecom company Huawei to buy chips for its growing auto component business, two people familiar with the matter said,” Reuters reported.

The reported approval follows a Trump-era crackdown on the telecommunications firm, which has extensive links to both the Chinese Communist Party. Labeled a “national security threat” by the Trump administration and a decades-long Chinese military collaborator by the U.S. Department of Defense, Huawei routinely provides the regime backdoor access to its products, networks, and devices.

Former President Donald Trump’s State Department also emphasized that the Chinese Communist Party uses Huawei as an “instrument not only for making money but also for pursuing the Party-State’s agenda and fulfilling its strategic objectives […] deeply enmeshed in Beijing’s system of oppression at home and its increasingly assertive strategic ambitions globally.”

The Biden White House, however, has taken a considerably softer approach to the company, as Reuters notes:

Huawei, the world’s largest telecommunications equipment maker, has been hobbled by trade restrictions imposed by the Trump administration on the sale of chips and other components used in its network gear and smartphones businesses. The Biden administration has been reinforcing the hard line on exports to Huawei, denying licenses to sell chips to Huawei for use in or with 5g devices. But in recent weeks and months, people familiar with the application process told Reuters the U.S. has granted licenses authorizing suppliers to sell chips to Huawei for such vehicle components as video screens and sensors.

Say this for Biden: having been bought, he at least has the decency to stay bought.

Say this for PRC: their investment in Biden’s career has paid dividends beyond what they could’ve possibly imagined when they started.

My only solace is knowing that he doesn’t have long left and he can’t take it with him. His legacy and family name will be the source of ridicule for decades, not unlike “his name is Mud”.

I do think he's going for Woodrow Wilson's Worst President Ever Award.

If you think Carter was worse than Wilson you don't know history.

Ditto.

Serious question to all posters - does anyone honestly have any doubt that Biden* is compromised by China? Between Biden* himself and his druggie son Hunter, China has a number of ways to blackmail them into submission.

The agreed upon 10%. The Big Guy is just raking in tens of millions dismantling America while allowing China to strengthen their global position economically and militarily. We can look for China to move in to Afghanistan very soon after the U.S. completes their full withdrawal.

Quote:Chinese tech royalty Meng Wanzhou reached a deferred prosecution agreement with the US government on Friday, likely leading to Canada dropping extradition proceedings.

The Huawei CFO pleaded not guilty in a US court in a virtual New York courtroom today to several fraud charges of varying degrees, including bank frank, wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit bank fraud.

US attorney David Kessler said that Wanzhou's prosecution agreement will last four years— from December 1, 2018, to Dec 1, 2022, reports CBC.

Meng was arrested in a Vancouver airport on December 1, 2018 at the behest of the US, who requested that she be held for violating sanctions against Iran.
In what has since been called "hostile diplomacy," two Canadians—Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig—were detained in China, where they remain more than 1,000 days later. Both were charged with espionage, and Spavor has been sentenced to 11 years in prison.

RE: Biden* Approves Licensing Deal For Chinese Communist Party-Linked Huawei
Biden Security Agencies Oppose Blacklisting Chinese Govt Tech Firm.

Quote:America’s security agencies under President Joe Biden are opposing the blacklisting of a spin-off firm of the Chinese Communist Party-linked telecommunications firm Huawei.

‘Honor’ – which was sold by Huawei last November to skirt Trump-era sanctions – still retains links to the Chinese Communist Party, as the Shenzhen city government was one of several involved in the consortium that purchased the firm.

The primary purchaser in the $15 billion deal, Digital China, retains ties to Huawei through its partnerships with programs such as cloud computing.

Despite these ties, “key security agencies are divided over whether to place Huawei’s former smartphone company on an export blacklist,” reports The Washington Post.

The rift is between the Pentagon and Department of Energy, which support blacklisting the company, and the Commerce and State Department, which oppose it.

“They couldn’t agree on whether a business that Huawei sold last year posed a significant threat to U.S. national security.

Staff members at the Pentagon and Energy Department supported placing the company on the blacklist, while their counterparts at the Commerce Department and State Department opposed it, according to several people familiar with the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the confidential process.”

Honor’s fate now rests in the hands of political appointees in the Biden regime and may reach the Cabinet level, according to The Washington Post:

“The issue has been appealed to the political-appointee level at the four agencies, according to people familiar with the matter. If they deadlock, the issue can be escalated to the Cabinet level. In the event of a tie there, President Biden would make the final decision.”

The Biden regime’s approach to Huawei is at odds with the Trump administration, which labeled the firm a “national security threat” and Chinese military collaborator. Trump’s State Department also noted Huawei is used as an “instrument not only for making money but also for pursuing the Party-State’s agenda and fulfilling its strategic objectives […] deeply enmeshed in Beijing’s system of oppression at home and its increasingly assertive strategic ambitions globally.”

Beyond aiding Beijing’s quest for global tech supremacy, Huawei devices routinely provide the regime with backdoor access to user data.
