UC is heading to the big leagues with the Big 12 news, which gives UC access to more resources, more recruiting opportunity, and direct access to the playoff.
Luke's wife is from the small, conservative town of Spencerville, OH. She's from a big family of 10 kids and my understanding is that the family is really close and Amy likes being close to home.
Both Amy and Luke have lived in Ohio their entire lives.
Fick's son is a freshman on the team.
Amy's sister is married to Ohio State great Bobby Hoying, they live in Columbus where Bobby is part owner of the large real estate development company Crawford Hoying. Their son (Fick's nephew) committed to UC as a preferred walk on at QB.
Both Luke & Amy are politically conservative (because they're smart), Amy has small town roots and she lives 2 hours from her parents.
I would be shocked if she is ok with dropping her family into the epicenter of one of the largest and most liberal cities in America that just so happens to be 2,200 miles away from her family.
USC ain't happening. Ohio State, definitely. Notre Dame, definitely. USC, nope.
