We rise together! I’m hoping South Alabama can beat that expectation of being the 120th best team. Under the previous regime I wouldn’t have hope, but I feel Coach Wommack and OC Major Applewhite have some tools that could lead to a quick improvement.

Last year there were 8 games between the top 3 teams in the league and the middle 3 (Southern, State, and Troy). Six of those 8 games were one possession. I don't think there's really that much space between the top and the middle.

Let's not get carried away but I do think concerns we don't have a QB are way overblown. I think Doug Ruse is just a better developer of QBs.
