Haven't heard anything about Clemson because they have been very quiet. I could see Clemson and FSU to the SEC and 4 to 6 PAC 12 to the BIG 10.

The remaining PAC 12 merge with BIG 12 and ACC adds from AAC. CUSA is raided by the AAC and the leftovers either drop down or join the Belt. MAC and MWC are stable. CUSA is no more.

Big 10 and PAC 12 will be gutting the Big 12. The Big 12 is done.

It's more likely that you are just hoping this as to not get left behind in the AAC. At this point it's not realistic whatsoever though. No one is taking EVERY school in the big 12. 5 of them left will still pull schools from the AAC before it happens vice versa.

Yes I just can't see the Big12 going away because even though it's current teams outshine the AAC they will not add any revenue to another P5 conference. Basically I think the Big12 is going to become the new tweeter conference and that will relegate the AAC down a peg.

I'm not a "fan" of ECU. I went to school there, but I am a "fan" of App State, I suppose.

So I don't have any vested interest in what happens to ECU Athletics. My assumption is that the Big 10 guts the middle of the Big 12 conference leftovers, the Pac - 12 gets in on the action, and the leftovers go to the AAC. ESPN has a hand to play in all of this and the Big 12 is broadcast by Fox. ESPN is driving this change and I'd imagine Fox would rather see the Big 10 expand than the Big 12 take UCF, Memphis, and Cincy.

As such, I see the American getting TCU and maybe Baylor while keeping those schools.

So...no, this isn't about what I hope to see happen but what I view as the most realistic option. Is it worth it for Fox to push to keep the Big 12 intact? Or is it worth more to ESPN to push the addition of a few Big 12 schools to the AAC and allow Fox to work on the expansion of the Big 10 and Pac-12?
