Yet, personal consumption was a good bit higher than expectations. That does not bode well at all for Q3 and Q4

He’s right. The only growth came from government handouts that artificially inflated consumer spending. A short term bump to mask long term problems at a long term cost.

So. This proves we don't need another "Stimulus", much less $5Trillion worth. The government just needs to get out of the way. What is there to stimulate?

Keep in mind that both the mortgage foreclosure moratorium and federal eviction moratorium end on July 31st. Will be interesting how that plays out.

Sounds like a great crisis for Dems to exploit to destroy personal property rights.

Given the current housing market, I don't think we'll see a ton of foreclosures. People can simply sell if they can't afford mortgage payments. With regard to evictions for not paying rent, no idea how that is going to play out.

And then do, what? If they rent, they're likely going to pay more for housing...and if they buy another house, they're likely going to be right back in the same boat.

Nope. It's going to be bad. I'm doing drive by pre-foreclosures weekly. They are going to flood the market. Just did a foreclosure appraisal yesterday that foreclosed in May. So there are ways around it. Taking another CE class on foreclosures next week. It's coming.
