Even if Arkansas, Missouri, and Texas A&M want to block this it seems it will still pass unless somebody else really just doesn't want those two. In reality it seems Texas A&M might be the most opposed to this.

I can't see Texas and Oklahoma being so public about this if this isn't a done deal. Looks like we're in for a wild 2021 in college football.

As an A&M fan (dad played there) I can't even begin to imagine them blocking UT since they are and always have been historical adversaries... on the FIELD especially. A&M's song even still today has "beat Texas!" in their lyrics. They mainly left the B12 to get away from their sudden autonomy regarding their TV money and there will be no "UT autonomy" in the SEC. Aggies will be looking very forward to donning the upside down horns and screaming "beat Texas" again every year despite any vocal or even no-vote the leadership spews to the public... but I can't even imagine an official block vote.

A&M will definitely vote no. They ran away from UT 10 years ago and don't want to reconnect with them now.

The fact that they have refused to play each other the entire time since A&M left the Big 12 is all you need to know. Also, go read Texags for some fun. Place is burning down (which it often is, but still) and they are pissed by this entire development.

I would laugh my ass off if Texas A&M had an airport meeting with Missouri and they applied to the Big 10. Texas A&M is not the only former Big 12 school that tried to get away from the Texas/OU duo back in the day. That would shock some of the SEC chest beaters back to reality and truly be a blow to the SEC's prestige.

My pie in the sky high hope is that 10 years from now these mega conferences get so big and so bloated that issues persist and they have to break apart into smaller conferences again. Won't happen, but I'd love to see it happen.

It's happened before so it's not out of the realm of possibility.

I don't see Arkansas blocking them either. Arkansas has pretended that they have a rivalry with Texas for the past couple decades.

I didn’t think they would. The Arkansas fans I live around seem kind of excited about having Texas back after all these years.

Kind of like stretching a rubber band. You can now finish probably 5th in the SEC and still be an outsider for the playoffs if they expand to 12 and then maybe 16 down the road.
