Six states with Republican Governors have answered the calls from Gov. Abbott of Texas and Gov. Ducey of Arizona to provide assistance in dealing with the southern border crisis.
The states providing assistance are:
Florida - DeSantis was the first governor to respond and he worked with Florida agencies and County Sheriffs to send officers from the Florida Highway Patrol, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, and Walton County Sheriff’s Office will head roughly 1,000 miles west to the southern border.
Ohio - 185 NG members
Nebraska - 24 state troopers
South Dakota - 50 NG members for up to 60 days (private donations covering the costs)
Iowa - 30 state troopers
Arkansas - 40 NG troops for 90 days
