Implications on NCAA changes for the Sun Belt and G5
I thought about putting this on the realignment board but honestly more interested in the opinions of people here than is typical on that board.
Basically, in one calendar year you have:
1. The one-time free transfer rule.
2. The Supreme Court lifts cap on what awards student athletes can get.
3. NIL is here.
Thoughts on any or all of these and how they work together?

In spite of so many people wanting to limit schools and conferences, these items along with the expected CFP expansion, have created what I believe to be a reset of sorts. A schools history is not as weighty as it was 2 years ago. If a school can successfully navigate these areas, they can compete at the highest level on the field, and in recruiting. If they cant handle these they will be left behind, no matter how much history the school has.
The transfer rule and portal has created a opportunity to even out depth issues for a lot of programs. roster management is now more important than even before. how the NCAA adjust the rules on this will be key also. im expecting something being done about the 25 max per year and leaving the 85 max number as is. maybe not counting transfers and Juco in the 25 per, or adding any transfer out, to the 25 per year to balance.

One thing is certain. If any G5 can successfully navigate this minefield, the NCAA will quickly move the goalposts in favor of the Power 5.
