PAC12 crying already because they know they will more then likely be the first “P5” conference left out.

Essentially, with the new CFP plan, it gets rid of the P5/G5 separation. We still have to earn respect, but if we win, we now have a spot, and it could be multiple “G5” schools if you win your games.

I am feeling less confident with getting multiple G5 team in the CFP. what I see coming next is the ending of divisions in all conferences, with the goal of having 1-2 match-ups and eliminating the 3 or 4 loss upset champ from a P5 conference. It will be possible but some changes will need to happen on the committee level also.

We (G5) are guranteed 1 since its 6 confrence champions. Beyond that it would be difficult based on history for there to be a second G5 who isnt the already aforementioned 6th onfrence champion be ranked high enough to get in. Difficult but not impossible. You control your own destiny though.

I'm totally fine with a CCG determined by division-less play.

The most amazing thing is Gill said something. Did anyone see him. Hearing won't work no one knows what he sounds like!

I'm sorry. He's been invisible until this and then took the obvious stand. I have zero respect for this empty suit.

There are reasons he was run out of Richmond.

Because he told donors he wouldn't allow scholarships to be given to student athletes that didn't meet the school academic standards.

The horror.

Maybe he’s taking the criticism and improving. Need more of this.

I really do think the new media people put in place at the league office is the improvement. We'll see it play out more in the future too.

We'll find out this fall if one of our programs is in the top 20 in November.

i'm sure there's another side to that argument, but i'm happy to have someone who would make that stand as the commissioner.

I do think the criticism of him is warranted, and hopefully a little more vocal activity from him will pay benefits.

Gonna channel my Carnac the Magnificent and say that 5 SBC teams will reach "receiving votes" at a minimum this year.

My problem with folks hoping Gill has found his voice is he is kind of old to change how he does things. I do hope y'all are right.

People aren't dogs. Also good executives hire good employees

No they aren't but people don't completely change their style of life. That's never a hundred percent but the guy has been around for awhile and I doubt anyone has ever heard of him before he fell into this job. When he was hired it seemed everyone was asking who he was. Just not an out there guy. We will see. Maybe he has hired someone that has a cattle prod. I also have never heard of him being called a good executive.

Three are easy guesses; App, Covid Carolina, & Louisiana. 4&5???

stAte is a wild card with a new coach and a ton of talented transfers. The $64,000 question is can the newbies gel quick enough to sprint out of the gate.

Geo Southern I believe under performed last year with the talent they had. Can they play at a high level consistently like they did in their bowl game? Granted their opponent really wasn't very good.

Troy is another wild card. Good talent, but can it be brought together.

The more likely scenario is we beat each other up and everyone has 2-3 losses and no one is ranked.
