"no, what is our new name ?" Easy. It's "America's Conference".

I think people are under estimating UH. The program was in bad shape before Holgs arrived. I don't like him, but he has hired some good assistants. The program is in better shape. UH might have the best defense in the AAC this year.

Could potentially see a top 50 class- Tulane, usf

Needs a new coaching staff to see better recruiting results- Houston, Temple

Teams I don’t see having great recruiting, even with new system, other than an outlier year every once in a while- Tulsa, ECU

Not comparable to any other schools- Navy

I could see ECU getting a bump. The HOPE would be that we could now compete more with the nearby ACC teams that usually have a leg up on us for recruits.

While that’s optimistic, I do think we’ll extend our advantage over all the G4’s that have popped up like weeds around us. Keep in mind that UNC Charlotte, App State, ODU, and Liberty weren’t there just a few years ago from an FBS standpoint. While we still generally do better, we don’t quite enjoy the solid footing we had as the tweener in the NC/VA recruiting grounds, and have found ourselves competing for our lower end players where we didn’t have to before.

Hoping a standing playoff spot for the AAC champ will lock that back down.

You’re sure there’s an advantage to extend over App?
