What say you, Hogies? How will the Hogs fare in '03 regular season only, and what are your chances, you feel, for returning to the SECCG? And what are y'alls opinions of Nutt right now?

Good luck, Hogs!! 04-cheers 04-cheers

8-4 and in a close race with Ole Miss, LSU and Auburn for the SEC West title.

7-5, with the Houston Nutt grumblings turning into roars. Houston has done all he can with this team, and he has two mediocre years left before he will move on. I doubt JFB fires him, but Nutt will leave on his own terms.

I knew there were some grumblings about Nutt, BoH, but why is that, with all due respect? I know y'all had a big disappointment in the MC Bowl, but heck he took the Hogs to Atlanta. 7-5 coming from a Hog fan is really quite surprising to me. I'm not arguing with ya, just curious as to why you're not as optimistic as some others?

OK...how I think it'll go

Tulsa...W
@ Texas..prolly a L..but God I hope not
North Texas...W
@ Alabama...W...losing that DL is gonna hurt the Tide
Auburn....W..we've kicked em 2 yrs straight and it's at RRS
Florida...prolly a L...but with Rex gone.. we gotta shot
@ Ole Miss... W for now..haven't seen the OM running game yet
@ Kentucky... we SHOULD win..but we always blow one game..put that here
South Carolina...W..Nutt's been whippin Lou
NM State...W
Miss. State...W
@ LSU... prolly a L

That's looking at 8-4... 9-3 if we don't blow it at KY.. 10-2 seeing how FL goes.

We could go 12-0... just don't think that'll happen just yet.

Losses to Texas, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and LSU.

This team is really going to miss Ken Hamlin and the secondary isnt going to be any better. Matt Jones cant throw the ball to himself, but he will have a strong enough OL that he can try. Fred Talley will be sorely missed, since Cedric hasnt been able to find a hole since the 2000 Cotton Bowl. De'Arrius Howard might be able to step up this year, we will have to see.

I know it seems strange since I am usually an optimist, but I think its going to be a bit of an awakening in Fayetteville.

My Royals have pulled off something crazy this year, so maybe my Hogs can too. We will just have to see.

I see 9-3, with losses at [God it hurts to say this, as an Arkansan] Texas; Florida; and LSU.

They'll win a midlevel bowl game vs a strong opponent such as Tex Tech or the like.

Naturally, I'm prejudiced toward the Rebels but the hogs have got to kinda figure a loss against my boys in Oxford.....maybe not! It certainly isn't a sure thing for either team.

Most definately!

I've actually been a member of this board for quite some time (a lot of people on here know me). I just never posted.

I'm going with 8-4 because we're going to have trouble moving the ball through the air. We'll probably lose to Texas, Alabama, Florida, and LSU.
Toss up games in my opinion are Ole Miss and Auburn. Advantage probably goes to Ole Miss being we have to play Eli and company in Oxford and if we can shut down Auburn's running game, we'll beat the Tigers. Houston Nutt is running out of time. Though we won the West (thanks to 'Bama being on probation), people are still unhappy that we are not high on the national level we were on in the 70's and 80's. Plus, his recruiting classes have not been real strong. We'll see. The West is going to tough again.

IMO, Houston has led us out of the complete darkness, but he can not take us to the light.

Houston needs to go find another school thats really deep in the tunnel, and bring them about halfway out, like he has done at Arkansas.

Somebody new needs to come in here, and take us from the middle of the tunnel to the light.

Did that all make sense? :D

9-3, with losses to Texas, Alabama, and LSU. We go to Atlanta at 6-2 in conference.

Don't know about winning the SEC, but I bet we win our bowl game. Houston knows he can't tank this one.

Good ranking going into 2004, that's our year. This team is a year away.

Of course, we just as easily could go 7-5 or 6-6.
