Heath > Washington in terms of the EMU job. Let's not forget that Washington has never been HC. The big thing he has going for him is his connection to UM and current recruits.

He was hired as an asst coach to be the HC at UTEP where he was a smashing success.

Then went to Auburn and flopped.

I also note the Ferris St coach isn't even mentioned for our job OR the CMU job. Lastly it was reported that Stan got a $400k deal for 5 years, however a more recent Detroit News article mentions $325k for 5 years. Murphy got $350k per year. Getting Stan for $325k is the steal of the year. One must weigh on factors on hiring a coach including affordibility. I am sure CMU donors will dig into their pockets to hire a coach. Frankly the Keno deal was not a smart one.

You've to be kidding? Please, it has been 35 years in football, and 24 years in basketball! I would love to see A Campbell,Leipold, Babers, Hurley, Oats, Fleck, etc.......come to E Michigan and bring us a MAC championship and then leave! CC, English, Murphy, Ramsey, etc........I'll leave it at that! If Saddi or Stephens came to EMU, and we won the MAC and they left, thanks for the MAC championship! Best of luck at A P5 school!

FYI WMU offered Saddi but he turned it down (money). WMU couldn't pony up (pun intended) due to Covid.

Good hire. He had an impressive run at UTEP before bombing at Auburn. Far more qualified than their last coach.

And yes, I can see why WMU would clamp down on spending very early in the Covid pandemic last spring.
