Hope he’s got the speed to play the position. He’ll probably have to lose 20lbs

We are very deep at safety, too. That's one of the things that is confusing. Perhaps Moll is at his weight gaining limit(as far as the size-speed ratio is concerned) and to play past college he needs to drop down. A 220 pound linebacker won't last long in the NFL. I imagine he'll play a lot of the LB/Safety hybrid position we like to play.

SS is his more natural position especially if you look at him as a potential NFL player. He's been playing out of position for 2 years which just makes it that much more impressive

I question quality of depth when nobody can bump Wilder out of the starting lineup. Hopefully Wright, Thomas, or Benton can send Him to the 1-B’s.

RE: Kristopher Moll Making the Move Back to Safety
Probably two things: Coaches are happy with LB depth (very nice) and Safety is where he'd need to play in the pros.

I got a feeling we will really be very thin next year in the defensive backfield after all these Sr/Redshirt Sr's graduate following the upcoming season.

Maybe. But wasn’t 2020 a “free year” for all players, not just the Seniors? If so, the only players that will exhaust their eligibility in the secondary will be Moll, Turner and TD Marshall.

I think this will be the last yr ( including Covid yr) for Moll, Turner, Marshal, Cash, Bynum, and Turner.
